AGE (Arts, Gender & Education) Conference
Founded in Umbumbulu, KwaZulu Natal by Zanele Muholi and launched in 2021, the AGE Conference is a dynamic platform exploring the intersections of arts, gender, and education. It brings together educators, artists, researchers, and activists to engage in critical dialogue, share innovative practices, and collaborate on strategies that foster inclusivity and equity in educational and creative spaces.
Through workshops, panel discussions, and creative showcases, the conference highlights how the arts can challenge societal norms, amplify marginalized voices, and cultivate transformative learning experiences. By centering gender perspectives within the arts and education, AGE fosters meaningful connections and inspires participants to drive positive change in their communities and institutions.
